Will Tiger win the 2010 Masters?

It was with great shock to see Tiger woods play in the masters this year. He has been under real scrutiny over the last months with all his life style issues. I wonder will he be able to pull off another Tiger miracle like he has in the past. I am writing this blog post and the Masters is over. I have been bad did not get to watch any of the last three rounds and have not checked on the internet for any scores over the week. The shame of it all.

My guess is he will not win? Now to post and go check the internet for the results. I think his head is not clear of issues for him to win this year. But look out next year.

There has been allot said and/or talked about Tiger Woods over the last several months. We all know he has make a fortune play golf and mega money with endorsements. Now that his private life and his professional facade has gotten raked through mud. Will Tiger Woods play professional golf again?

My question? Why does he need to? He has more money for any one lifetime, try maybe a hundred lifetimes. He has also showed when he is on his golf game there is no-one in the world that can beat him. He has won every major. The only thing I could think of if beating Jack’s record for most major golf tournaments won. He is already considered the best golfer to ever play the game. What more is there.

They use the popular materials to design and make their own eyeglasses in styles that we are wanting to wear that are current and fashionable. By making their own they are able to control the pricing as well as the quality of their products. They also do not advertise. By not advertising they are able to pass a huge savings on to their customers. You might wonder how they can not advertise. They use their customers and the positive experience that their customers have to pass on the word for them. Basically their customers through word of mouth do all of the advertising for them. This is a way that works for them so they can sell their eyeglasses at a cheap price. Which means we all benefit.

Making a better family vehicle

A few years ago I purchased a used pickup to tool around in. You know off road driving along with street cruising. That is what I think most of us get a truck for. Like any toy we want to polish it up and clean it to look like a new penny. Personally I like to put new tires to get a good grip on things. Now we tell our wives that our truck will need a performance chip will help fuel mileage, I believe increasing the air intake will make the truck run better along with the cat back exhaust to smooth out the running of the truck on the interstate. Because you and I know that those truck addons will not make your truck go fast and sound cool like your vehicle you had in youth. You know what this explanation worked very well to describe how the truck would be a better family vehicle with all the addons installed. The next suggest I have for a truck would be a new paint job, the new candy colored paint job help the become more aerodynamic at high internet speeds, now this is what they say in Formula one, that certain colors will slow a car down that other colors at high speed. It is amazing how physics come into play as an excuse to get high performance addons for your truck

“A solemn match of golf” between Alexander Elphinstone and Captain John Porteous becomes the first match reported in a newspaper. Elphinstone fights and wins a duel on the same ground in 1729.

1743

Thomas Mathison’s epic The Goff is the first literary effort devoted to golf.

1744

The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers is formed, playing at Leith links. It is the first golf club.

The City of Edinburgh pays for a Silver Cup to be awarded to the annual champion in an open competition played at Leith. John Rattray is the first champion.

1754

Golfers at St. Andrews purchase a Silver Cup for an open championship played on the Old Course. Bailie William Landale is the first champion.

The first codified Rules of Golf published by the St. Andrews Golfers (later the Royal &Ancient Golf Club).

1759

Earliest reference to stroke-play, at St. Andrews. Previously, all play was match.

1764

The competition for the Silver Club at Leith is restricted to members of the Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers.

The first four holes at St. Andrews are combined into two, reducing the round from twenty-two holes (11 out and in) to 18 (nine out and in). St. Andrews is the first 18-hole golf course, and sets the standard for future courses.

1766

The Blackheath Club becomes the first golf club formed outside of Scotland.

1767

The score of 94 returned by James Durham at St. Andrews in the Silver Cup competition sets a record unbroken for 86 years.

1768

The Golf House at Leith is erected. It is the first golf clubhouse.

1773

Competition at St. Andrews is restricted to members of the Leith and St. Andrews societies.

The Royal Burgess Golfing Society of Edinburgh is formed.

1774

Thomas McMillan offers a Silver Cup for competition at Musselburgh. He wins the first championship.

The first part-time golf course professional (at the time also the greenkeeper) is hired, by the Edinburgh Burgess Society.

The Aberdeen Golf Club (later Royal Aberdeen) is formed.

A Silver Club is offered for competition at Glasgow.

The Burntisland Golf Club is formed.

The town of St. Andrews sells the land containing the Old Course (known then as Pilmor Links), to Thomas Erskine for 805 pounds. Erskine was required to preserve the course for golf.
